Price cap on Russian oil "will not affect" the special military operation in Ukraine, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Monday.

"The economy of the Russian Federation has all the necessary potential to fully meet the needs and requirements of the special military operation. These measures will not affect this," he told reporters, adding that the Russian Federation will not recognize any price ceilings.

A $60 price cap on Russian oil exports was agreed upon by the EU, G7 and Australia.
