After graduating from university, Wang Lingli chose to return to her hometown to become a manager of its Chongzhou Yangliu farm cooperative. Her first year on the job wasn't easy because the collective farm's wheat harvest was affected by pests and diseases. The low income yielded by its land prompted her to study agriculture. She realized that a good understanding of it was indispensable for science-based efficient production. By 2021, the 28-year-old was recognized by the villagers and made responsible for 260 hectares of land, earning the cooperative an income of 2.77 million yuan.
