Russian shelling killed eight people in the town of Kurakhove in the Donetsk region on Wednesday, a senior official of the president's office said.
Kyrylo Tymoshenko, deputy head of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's office, also said via the Telegram that five others were wounded after a market, bus station, several petrol stations and residential buildings came under fire in the town.
Russia has not yet responded.
