Peruvian police detain Castillo after congressional impeachment

Peruvian President Pedro Castillo was detained Wednesday afternoon by security forces after unsuccessfully attempting to dissolve Congress, which subsequently voted to impeach him, Peru's National Police (PNP) confirmed.
