Supporters of former Peruvian President Pedro Castillo protested in Lima on Wednesday after he was ousted by Congress and arrested. They faced off in the streets with those supporting his dismissal. Castillo has been charged with "rebellion" for allegedly violating constitutional order when he sought to dissolve the legislature. Vice President Dina Boluarte has replaced Castillo, becoming the republic's first-ever female leader.
