54-year-old Brazilian football fan Jarbas Carlini started making World Cup trophy replicas in 1994 and has made 600 over the years. It's his passion. Several world-class players such as Ronaldo, Ronaldinho and Neymar own one of his trophies, which has generated social media fame for him among global football fans. Hundreds of Carlini's hand-made trophies have been shipped overseas, which is his way of connecting with other fans who share the same passion.
"I am bringing one Cup home to please my children. They are used to seeing the Cup on TV, but now they'll be able to hold it and there will be a lot of emotion," a local resident holding a Cup told CGTN stringer.
