With a rapid drop in temperature, a spectacular snow scene has appeared on the Moon Plain in southwest China's Sichuan Province. Hills veiled in mist and trees wrapped in ice crystals, all producing a winter wonderland. The Moon Plain is located at the southern foot of Daba Mountain in the northeast of the Sichuan basin. The forest coverage rate is 99.39 percent. There are more than a thousand species of trees such as pine, maple, and sassafras located here. The area is also a summer holiday destination.
