China has begun flight testing the third AG600M aircraft, a full-configuration firefighting model belonging to the AG600 large amphibious aircraft series. Code-named Kunlong, the AG600M is seen as key aeronautical asset for China's emergency rescue capabilities. The Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) expects it to begin conducting firefighting missions next year and to enter the commercial market in 2025.
