One killed in explosion on British Channel island of Jersey

One person has died and a number of residents "are still missing" after an explosion in an apartment block in St Helier, British Channel island of Jersey on Saturday, multiple media reported.
Emergency services are working at the scene and have commenced a surface search of the site, said local fire and rescue department.
