China has seen a rebound in passenger trips following the easing of COVID-19 measures. On December 9, 3.5 million passenger trips via 5,023 passenger trains were made across the country, according to China Railway. It came after the operator issued a statement on the gradual resumption of passenger train transport services, which were suspended or reduced as a result of the pandemic, as the government took steps to ease the pandemic-related travel restrictions in China.
