Meet Gao Yuchen, 9, an energetic waist drum dancer from Ansai, Shaanxi. He was first drawn to the dance form while watching a local performance. The large dance troupe and soaring jumps immediately grabbed his attention. Gao was able to receive waist drum dance training as an extracurricular activity at his school, and he subsequently became a rising star on campus. He said he wants to become a better dancer and perform on bigger stages.
