The second part of COP15 is held in Montreal, Canada. According to the UN, around one million species out of an estimated eight million globally are facing extinction due to human activities. Biodiversity on Earth is like a chain of ecosystems: significant species losses would cause a domino effect that would bring disaster for humanity.
