The United Nations on Tuesday recognized 10 ground-breaking efforts from around the globe for their role in restoring the natural world. China's "Shan-Shui Initiative in China" was on the list. This ambitious initiative combines 75 large-scale projects to restore ecosystems, from mountains to coastal estuaries, across the world's most populous nation. Wu Changhua, vice chair of the governing council of the Asia-Pacific Water Forum, shared her thoughts on what these initiatives could bring, in terms of transforming our relationship with nature.
