The European Council adopted on Friday a ninth package of sanctions against Russia.

The EU will expand the export ban on aviation and space industry related goods and technology to include aircraft engines and their parts, according to an EU statement, which will apply to both manned and unmanned aircraft.

Investments in the Russian mining sector and provision of advertising services were also banned.

The EU has also suspended the broadcasting licenses of four more media outlets.
