U.S. President Joe Biden signed a one-week stopgap funding bill on Friday, the White House has said, extending the deadline to December 23 to allow congressional negotiators more time to finalize a full-year deal.
The House of Representatives passed the bill on Wednesday and the Senate on Thursday, a day before funding was set to expire.
