Changyupu Village in central China's Hunan Province used to be in the middle of a large area of Karst landform, making it impossible to reserve water and grow crops. To escape poverty caused by bare land, villagers spent over 10 years building small dams and terraced fields on the stone mountains before converting the barren hills into fertile farmland. Not only has the villagers' livelihood been improved, but the environment become greener, ensuring a sustainable agricultural development in the area. Watch the video to see what the village looks like today.
