A Beijing-based think-tank – the China Center for International Exchanges – hosted the Annual Meeting on China's Economy 2022-2023 in Beijing on Saturday.

China will promote basic and traditional offline consumption as part of its efforts to revive the COVID-impacted economy, said Ning Jizhe, deputy director of the Committee on Economic Affairs under the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
