China's major power generation groups are operating at full steam to ensure the country’s energy supply for winter heating while reducing the impact brought by the cold weather on integrated industrial and supply chains.

As of December 16, the China Energy Investment Corporation had produced 569 million tonnes of coal, up 4 percent year on year.

China Huadian Corporation has also generated 612.7 billion kWh of electricity while providing 188 million tonnes of electricity-coal, both hitting record highs. China Huaneng Group has provided over 314.3 million GJ of heat, representing year-on-year growth of 6.67 percent.
