Chinese President Xi Jinping on Monday sent a congratulatory letter to the fifth Arabic Arts Festival, which opened in Jingdezhen, east China's Jiangxi Province.
In the letter, Xi lauded the long-lasting and ever stronger friendship between China and Arab states.
From the ancient Silk Road to the joint building of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), the two sides have worked hand in hand, reaching fruitful results in people-to-people exchange and cooperation, he added.
Taking this festival as an opportunity, Xi said it is hoped that both sides will implement the results of the first China-Arab States Summit, promote the Silk Road Spirit, enhance traditional friendship, and build closer people-to-people exchanges.
He called for injecting lasting impetus into deepening the China-Arab strategic partnership and contributing to building a China-Arab community with a shared future for the new era.
