China has issued guidelines for data management with the aim of enhancing the "sharability and inclusiveness" of data and promoting digital transformation, according to Xinhua News Agency on Monday.
According to the guidelines, more market entities will be able to gain access to data.
The country will also strengthen regulations on monopolies and unfair competition, said Xinhua, citing the guidelines.
In order to adapt to the economic and social digital transformation, China plans to improve the quantity and quality of data elements, according to the guidelines.
