A total of six dead were found on Tuesday after Sunday's Thai navy ship sinking, according to a Royal Thai Navy (RTN) tweet.

Eighty-two people have been found so far, 76 survivors and six dead, and rescuers are looking for the remaining 23 missing people, RTN said.

The bodies of the deceased have been transported to Thailand's Bang Saphan District for further identity verification, RTN said.

The corvette HTMS Sukhothai sank in a storm on Sunday night in the Gulf of Thailand with a crew of 105 aboard.
