Baihetan Hydropower Station, the second-largest hydropower plant in terms of installed capacity, entered full operation on December 20. With 16 of the world's largest hydropower generating units, the station can generate 62,400 gigawatt-hours of electricity a year, enough to provide electricity consumption of approximately 75 million people.
