China will provide more convenience for cross-border personnel exchanges when the time and situation is appropriate, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday.
The remarks were made by the ministry's spokesperson Mao Ning at a regular press conference in response to whether China will optimize its inbound travel and quarantine policies.
Mao said over the past three years of the COVID-19 outbreak, by adhering to all-round consideration and win-win cooperation, China was among the first to have resumed work and production and has advanced high-standard opening up through measures including "fast lane" implementation and orderly increase in international flights, which facilitates personnel exchanges and contributes to the stability of the global industrial and supply chain.
She also noted at the press briefing that China has been improving its response measures in light of the new changes in the COVID situation so as to ensure socio-economic development as it fights the virus.
Currently, China has been pushing COVID-19 booster shots and the drugs and detection reagents for COVID-19 in total can meet the demand, she added.
