Indonesia to impose a ban on bauxite ore exports

Indonesian President Joko Widodo on Wednesday officially announced a ban on the export of raw minerals in the form of bauxite ore starting in June 2023, local media reported.
"Starting in June 2023, the government will impose a ban on bauxite ore exports and encourage the domestic bauxite processing and refining industry," said Widodo.
