With a solid industrial foundation and a series of policies to ensure supply, China's foreign trade in goods has maintained a relatively high growth over the past three years, which has effectively alleviated the pressure on the global supply chain arising from the COVID-19 pandemic.

China has become a major trading partner for more than 140 countries and regions. The country's foreign trade in goods ranks first in the world, official data showed.

In the first eleven months of this year, China's foreign trade in goods went up 5.9 percent year on year to $5.78 trillion. In 2021, the country's foreign trade volume soared 29.8 percent from a year ago to surpass the $6 trillion mark for the first time, according to data from China's General Administration of Customs.
