China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) pledged Wednesday to strengthen analysis of the country's economic situation and boost market confidence.
The announcement follows the annual Central Economic Work Conference held in Beijing last week, during which Chinese leaders set priorities for the economy in 2023.
At a meeting held on Wednesday, NBS officials discussed China's primary economic objectives for next year, including domestic demand expansion.
The agency also stated that it will be focusing on the statistical accounting of carbon emissions, improving statistical indicators for the domestic market, and strengthening the supervision of the industrial system.
