Ukraine says it has carried out damaging strikes on Russian bases in occupied territory. Its military is recapturing territory around the northeastern city of Kharkiv and the southern city of Kherson. The Ukrainian military also reported heavy shelling by Russian forces in several regions. Russia has begun demolishing the bombed Mariupol theater.
