After the historic night of Hong Kong's return and the celebrations in the streets, life in this vibrant city carried on. Yet, there was also a sense of uncertainty in the air. People wondered whether their lifestyle was about to undergo enforced change. This is a story of how the city's Basic Law, which represents the "One Country, Two Systems" principle, brought back confidence in Hong Kong soon after 1997.
