An intense winter storm has battered large sections of the U.S. since December 22. The storm has left at least 63 people dead across the country as of Tuesday, according to an NBC News tally. Roads have been closed, and air travel in many places is still a shambles. Reports said more than 2,800 flights were canceled on Tuesday.
