China's tropical resort city of Sanya has always been a popular tourist destination during winter times. At the beginning of this month, Hainan Province relaxed its COVID-19 restrictions, people traveling from other parts of China will no longer require recent PCR tests or quarantine when entering, thus leading to an increase in travel demand from Chinese cities to Sanya.
