China Chronicles 2022: 'Resilience' as key word defining trade performance

Economic uncertainties have brought many challenges to global trade over the past year. But growth in Chinese trade has been steady, with total imports and exports value jumping by over eight percent in the first 11 months of the year.

Challenges still remain. In November alone, exports only grew by 0.9 percent year-on-year and imports even dropped. However, with China gradually reopening, experts believe performance in trade will improve in the new year.
