8 killed in southern India 'stampede'

At least eight people died, and many others were injured after they fell into a drain following a "stampede" during a political rally in Nellore in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, local media said on Thursday.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed his grief over the incident.
It happened during campaigning by the Telugu Desam Party against the ruling Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party government in Nellore.
