Watch: Spread joy with Mexican holiday traditions

Mexico is well known for its vibrant festivals and unique culture. CGTN's Embrace New Year series brings you to Mexico City to experience the local carnivalesque atmosphere. Our correspondent Franc Contreras explored local markets on December 28. Join us on a tour to find out how the poinsettia, a flower native to Mexico, became the flower of Christmas and learn the history of Three Kings, known in Latin America as Los Reyes Magos, from whom children in Mexico receive presents just like children get presents from Santa Claus, and learn how to create one of Mexico's traditional holiday drinks called ponche.
