Right after China relaxed its COVID-19 restriction measures, the country has seen an unprecedented surge of infections over the past month. The majority of infections are mild or asymptomatic cases. Official data shows that severe and critically-ill cases take up about 0.18 percent this year as of December 5. Yet a huge influx of patients was still found at hospitals, mostly seniors with COVID and pneumonia symptoms. Another group that concerns many is the kids.
