In August 2022, hot and dry weather caused mountain fires in many parts of southwest China's Chongqing. Frank, an American who was teaching at Southwest University there, decided to join a local rescue group called "Motorcycle Riders." When he arrived at the front, the first words he heard were, "Drink water, American friend."
