Chinese cities are bracing for peaks in COVID-19 infections. There're two recommended oral drugs approved for COVID-19 treatment on the mainland: the antiviral pills Paxlovid by Pfizer and Azvudine by a Chinese pharmaceutical firm. The country is going all out to ensure the production of key medical supplies that are needed urgently, including oral antiviral drugs.
