Fever-reducing drugs have become the most sought-after item amid China's new wave of COVID-19 infections. As many residents find it difficult to purchase the medicine, the local health departments and some major pharmacies have started to hand out free fever-reducing tablets in both urban and rural areas in north China's Shanxi Province. Healthcare workers are also on-site to offer guidance on the use of the drug and warn about contraindications.
