China vows proactive fiscal policies to sustain people's livelihood

The recent annual Central Economic Work Conference has confirmed that China will stick to its proactive fiscal policy through the year to sustain people’s livelihood. Finance Minister Liu Kun said the government will look to moderately expand fiscal policies and further improve their effectiveness. Education, medical and health care, social security and ecology will continue to be the top focus for spending this year.
