The China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) announced on Wednesday that the offshore gas field in the Bohai Sea has reached a record-high annual natural gas output of 3.5 billion cubic meters.

The offshore facility, which is 140 kilometers away from north China's Tianjin, has provided strong energy support for the municipality as well as Shandong and Liaoning provinces around the Bohai Sea.
