It is easy for senior citizens to develop silent hypoxia. Oximeters, medical devices that continuously or intermittently measure the oxygen saturation of circulating blood, have become an important tool for doctors to intervene in time. Recently, the city of Suzhou in east China's Jiangsu Province has provided thousands of oximeters for grassroots clinics.
