"The signing on September 3, 2013 on the joint declaration on the establishing of strategic cooperation between Turkmenistan and China marked a new era in the development of Turkmen-Chinese relations," said Akmuhammet Jumagulyyev, lecturer at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, during an interview with China Media Group. He said China has made great contributions to the Silk Road, and the spirit of mutual understanding, trust, peace, cooperation and friendship is passed on from generation to generation.
