Elderly COVID patients given priority care at hospital in southern Chinese city
Guilin is a city in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, with a population of 5 million. After seeing a peak in fever clinics in late December, it now faces another challenge – treating elderly COVID-19 patients. A representative of Guilin People's Hospital says 70 percent of its severe patients are aged over 65. The hospital is so occupied that some extra beds had to be put in the corridor outside the wards.
