At about 5:30 a.m. on January 7, Train G6701 carrying more than 500 passengers, left the Beijing West Railway Station, signifying that the Chinese capital city has braced for the 40-day Spring Festival travel rush period. It is the first travel rush after China's relaxation of pandemic-related travel restrictions in early December.
