Some countries recently imposed restrictions on travelers from China, alleging it would help to stop the spread of any potential new variants. But experts from many countries have said that the main variant now spreading in China has already been found in other countries. And so far, according to the World Health Organization, no new variant or mutation of known significance has been noted in China. Instead, it is in some countries targeting China that the latest variants are rampaging.
