On January 8, supporters of Brazilian far-right former President Jair Bolsonaro invaded Brazil's National Congress, the presidential palace and the Supreme Court and clashed with the military and police.

CGTN Global Stringer came to the National Congress building in Brasilia to record the situation. Protesters broke windows of the building and police fired tear gas to disperse the crowd.
