Security heightened in Brazil ahead of more protests
01:10

Brazil's capital is preparing for possible new protests on January 11 with authorities blocking access to buildings vandalized by protesters earlier. Federal officials said police are shutting down the main avenue to traffic and limiting pedestrian access with barricades, as well as blocking access entirely to the square that was the site of the January 8 mayhem. A small area on the avenue that has been reserved for peaceful demonstration will be surrounded by police forces and the national guard, and all protesters are searched upon entry.
