China's Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism of the State Council held a press conference on January 14. Officials disclosed that from December 8, 2022 to January 12, 2023, China's COVID-related deaths in hospitals were 59,938. As of January 12, the ratio of people testing positive at fever clinics was down to 10.8 percent.
