Explosions hit Dniprovskyi District in Kyiv on Saturday, mayor Vitaliy Klitschko said on Telegram on Saturday and urged people to take shelter.
Local media said the explosions were heard before air raid alert was sounded in the capital.
Another Ukrainian official, the Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Kirill Tymoshenko said critical infrastructure facilities in Kyiv and the region were attacked.
