Kunming, the provincial capital of southwest China's Yunnan Province, is dubbed the "city of eternal spring". It's an important wintering habitat for black-headed gulls. Every winter, a large number of the creatures migrate here from Siberia and stay until the next spring. As the COVID-19 pandemic gradually subsides and China relaxes the control measures, many citizens and tourists are swarming to the city's landmark locations to watch and interact with the migratory birds.
