Train carriages converted into Spring Festival shopping fair ahead of holidays
01:43

Carriages on some slow trains connecting remote areas in China have been converted to shopping fairs selling Spring Festival goods to homebound travelers during the holiday travel rush. In northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, the slow train No.4045 runs between Qiqihar City and Jiagedaqi District of the Greater Hinggan Mountains, connecting 32 stations along its 431-km route through a wintry landscape. During this year's Spring Festival travel rush, travelers can choose from a variety of goods, including vegetables and snacks on sale from the holiday shopping fair.
